Tomorrow, 20th (Monday) is a President's Day holiday in US. At the risk of sounding Captain Obvious, it's celebrated in the honor of first president George Washington, who was born on 22nd Feb. What I find funny is materialistic Americans celebrate it on third Monday of Feb to get an extended weekend (like most of their Holidays). Poor president whose birth date keeps changing every year :D
Always-super-enthu Rishabh had organized a lukkha Indian gathering at his place tonight. Tomorrow being a holiday, we could have stayed up till late without having to worry about getting up in the morning. Events on cards were movie screening with projector and good quality speakers, Drunk PPT and one or more of group games like Mafia.
I don't remember how we got a majority on it, but the movie we decided on was Gunda! :D Had watched it couple of times before, but was still fun! :D What was more fun at times was to watch reactions of people (Read Paavni) who were watching it for the first time. After some time, people got bored and we decided to move on to Drunk PPTs! :D
What's Drunk PPT? A drunk (or even otherwise works) person is thrown in front of a projector with a totally unseen power point presentation and asked to present it. One can expect priceless entertainment if the topic is funny and PPT is made as non-coherent as possible :D Tonight's topics ranged from conditioning dog's poop habits to meanings of Hindi abuse words! Well, wasn't as fun as we had thought it would be, since hardly anyone was drunk :D Here is one of the PPTs we had (See it with full-screen if at all you do :P).
Mafia tonight was marked with n00b Gods. Yes, there were multiple of them (!), still failing miserably, even after writing down each person's role on a piece of paper!! Wouldn't want to say anything more :P In 9gag style, had lukkha, doesn't matter :D
Earlier this evening, we (again a bunch of 10 odd people) went to Florence Moore Dining Hall, popularly known as Flomo, which was serving Indian food. Food was pretty awesome; naan, chicken tikka masala, rice, bhaji (YES!), chocolate flavored kheer (:P) and a bowl of mango flavored yogurt, which is the closest approximation of Aamras one can get here :D It was a buffet, so we were eating for almost 2 hours!! :D
In short, good weekend! :)
lol
